Fiberglass pipes, also known as fiberglass winding, primarily use fiberglass and its related products as reinforcement materials. They utilize unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, and other polymer components as the base materials, while inorganic non-metallic particulate materials such as calcium carbonate and quartz sand are used as fillers. Currently, the effective lengths of fiberglass pipes are 12 meters and 6 meters.

Fiberglass pipes are also known as glass fiber winding. Potassium sand pipes mainly use glass fiber and its related products as reinforcement materials, utilizing unsaturated polyester resin, epoxy resin, and other polymer components as the base materials, along with inorganic non-metallic particle materials such as calcium carbonate and quartz sand as fillers. Currently, the effective lengths of fiberglass pipes are 12 meters and 6 meters, and their manufacturing methods include continuous winding, centrifugal casting, and fixed-length winding. Different manufacturing methods and pressure levels are used according to different products. Today, I will mainly introduce the characteristics of fiberglass pipes to help everyone better understand this construction product.
Fiberglass pipes have good corrosion resistance. Since their raw materials consist of polymer components like glass fiber and unsaturated polyester resin, they can effectively resist the corrosive effects of acids, alkalis, salts, and other media, as well as the erosion from untreated corrosive soils, domestic sewage, industrial wastewater, and various chemical liquids. Under normal circumstances, fiberglass pipes can maintain the normal operation of the pipeline for a long time. The anti-aging performance and thermal insulation performance of fiberglass pipes are also good, allowing them to be used for extended periods in temperature environments ranging from -40°C to 70°C. The high-temperature resistant resin used can also operate normally in environments of 200°C and can be applied for a long time in outdoor pipelines.
In addition, some ultraviolet absorbers are added to the surface, which can eliminate the radiation effect of ultraviolet rays on the pipes to delay the aging phenomenon of fiberglass pipes. The antifreeze performance of fiberglass pipes is quite good; even when used in environments of -20 degrees, ice formation inside the pipes will not cause cracking.
Lightweight, high strength, and easy transportation. Fiberglass pipes are not only lightweight, high-strength, and highly plastic, but also convenient for transportation and installation, making it easy to install various branch pipes with simple installation techniques.
Good hydraulic conditions, smooth inner walls, strong conveying capacity, no scaling, no rust, and low water resistance.
Good designability of fiberglass pipes. Fiberglass pipes can be designed and manufactured into different pressure levels and stiffness levels according to various specific requirements of users, such as different flow rates, different pressures, different burial depths, and load conditions.
Low maintenance costs for fiberglass pipes. Due to the aforementioned properties of corrosion resistance, wear resistance, antifreeze, and anti-pollution, projects do not require measures such as rust prevention, pollution prevention, insulation, and thermal insulation, nor do they require repairs. For buried pipes, cathodic protection is not needed, which can save maintenance costs by more than 70%.
Good wear resistance of fiberglass pipes. A comparative test was conducted by rotating water containing a large amount of mud and gravel inside the pipes to observe the wear effects.
