Fiberglass grating is often used in corrosive working environments such as sewage treatment plants or water supply plants. These locations are frequently subjected to corrosion from water or other chemicals, and grating made from ordinary materials can quickly become damaged. Therefore, corrosion-resistant fiberglass grating is required. Additionally, in chemical plants, some chemicals are highly corrosive, and even metal components can be easily damaged, which is why fiberglass grating is also widely used to achieve long-lasting corrosion resistance. The dimensions of fiberglass grating panels are generally large, and we need to cut and process the fiberglass grating reasonably according to the dimensions and installation requirements to ensure proper fit.

The dimensions of fiberglass grating panels are generally large, and we need to cut and process the fiberglass grating reasonably according to the size and installation requirements to ensure good economic benefits without affecting the intrinsic performance of the grating. The cut ends need to be coated with resin to ensure that their corrosion resistance is not affected. So how do we cut it? Let's introduce it below:
Before preparing to install fiberglass grating, we must first complete the cutting work of the grating, and safety measures must be taken before cutting. Before cutting and processing, operators should wear protective goggles and masks to prevent materials from splashing into their eyes and reduce dust inhalation. They should also wear work clothes and gloves to prevent dust from entering the skin and causing allergies. Cutting should be done in a well-ventilated and brightly lit area, and all electric tools should be checked for integrity before cutting.
The cutting of fiberglass grating is divided into straight cutting and curved cutting. Straight cutting can be done on-site using ceramic discs or diamond abrasive discs, and even ordinary steel saw blades can be used. Curved cutting, such as for openings and arcs, can be done using electric saws with metal cutting blades or steel saws.
In addition to cutting, drilling is also required. Holes larger than twelve millimeters can be drilled using ordinary drill presses with twist drills, while smaller holes can be processed using portable electric hole processing tools or general hand drills. Additionally, hand-held angle grinders, grinding wheels, ordinary files, and sandpaper can be used for polishing. It is important to note during operation that this material cannot be turned or tapped, but arbitrary cutting during the cutting process will not change the mechanical properties of the grating, nor will it cause disassembly or other consequences, so everyone can operate with confidence.
