FRP corrosion protection is a highly technical project, and its construction steps include substrate treatment, spraying the base adhesive, creating a corrosion-resistant reinforcement layer, creating a seepage prevention layer, and an outer layer, among others. Among these, substrate treatment is key, requiring the surface of the substrate to be flat, solid, free from sand, peeling, cracks, and other phenomena, while also controlling the construction environment, such as temperature and humidity. When spraying the adhesive, it is necessary to control the amount and viscosity to ensure even spraying and to prevent dripping and missed coating. In creating the corrosion-resistant reinforcement layer, a fabric layering method should be used, with attention to staggered overlaps. Finally, when creating the seepage prevention layer and outer layer, the surface must be smooth and flat, meeting the required protection level.
In addition, FRP corrosion protection also requires attention to some detail issues. For example, when using fine quartz sand, it is necessary to control the amount and particle size, and to enhance the anti-slip function. When creating the transition bonding layer, appropriate bonding materials should be selected, and the thickness and number of coats should be controlled. During the construction process, it is also important to prevent secondary pollution, such as timely cleaning of the construction site.
